Job Summary
Sanitation Driver:
Haralson County is seeking a dependable, full-time sanitation driver. Sanitation drivers perform an important and necessary service to the community by safely collecting refuse in collection vehicles and transporting it to proper waste disposal areas. They are responsible for navigating the routes between their facilities, transporting waste, and ensuring that their collection vehicles are properly cleaned and maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Sanitation drivers are responsible for servicing all Haralson County Convenience Centers as well as the refuse containers of Haralson County Government offices.
Sanitation drivers safely and responsibly utilize refuse collection vehicles to lift, empty, and replace dumpsters.
Sanitation drivers conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on their refuse collection vehicles, maintain records of their vehicle’s condition, and clean their vehicle at the end of each shift.
Position Requirements
Sanitation drivers must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Sanitation drivers must possess a good driving history with no serious violations or accidents over the last three years as verified by a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Sanitation drivers must be able to sit for long periods of time, mount and dismount the vehicle cab, multiple times a day, and occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Sanitation drivers must be able to work a standard full-time schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 6:30am-5:00pm.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
