Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and are prepared efficiently
- Manage inventory control and food handling procedures to minimize waste and optimize resources
- Plan menus that align with dietary requirements, seasonal ingredients, and customer preferences, including fine dining options and catering services
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen operations
- Coordinate shift management, ensuring smooth workflow during busy periods and proper staffing levels
- Oversee banquet and catering events, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality meals in line with client expectations
Requirements
- Proven experience in fine dining environments with strong culinary skills and leadership capabilities
- Demonstrated supervising experience within a busy kitchen or hospitality setting
- Extensive knowledge of food production, menu planning, and food service management principles
- Familiarity with inventory management, inventory control, and cost-effective food handling practices
- Hands-on experience with kitchen management systems and food safety protocols
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively
Preferred qualifications include banquet experience, dietary department familiarity, restaurant management background, catering expertise, hospitality industry knowledge, cooking proficiency across various cuisines, and bartending skills.
