We're looking for a coffee lover who is upbeat, enthusiastic, and a hard worker. We take great pride in the drinks we serve and are looking for someone who appreciates the complexity and refinement of making drinks for customers. As the barista on shift, you're on your feet, seeing what tasks need to be accomplished, and looking to make the experience for our customers an excellent one. You work well in a small team setting, and are constantly communicating with team members and assisting each other throughout the shift including prep work in the kitchen. Applicants should be accustomed to fast-paced environments, and remain composed during busy rushes.
We are a small family-owned business that has been operating for nearly 13 years, and we're dedicated to maintaining our relationships within the community, both with customers and staff. All staff receive tips adding up to about $8/hr, free shift meals and drinks, and employee discounts. Applicants must be available to work at least 3 shifts with weekend availability. This is a year-round position, not a summer job.
Barista tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing espresso drinks
- Refining latte art skills
- Working register
- Keeping station tidy
- Closing down espresso machine
- Managing store website
- Tracking product inventory
- Carrying product up and down stairs (must be able to lift 50 pounds)
