Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders efficiently to kitchen staff
- Provide exceptional guest service by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, and recommending specials or upselling opportunities to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bar counters, tables, and dining spaces
- Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
- Uphold food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines in food handling and serving practices
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable for reservations is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse customer needs professionally
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and order calculations
- Experience in bartending or serving roles that involve upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Hospitality background with experience in serving alcohol responsibly and adhering to legal regulations
