Position Summary
The Sales Executive for Engine MRO Services is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities for engine overhaul, repair, module services, and powerplant programs. This role will drive revenue growth by securing shop visits, module work, accessory/component programs, and service agreements.
This position requires strong industry knowledge, customer relationships, and proven success selling complex technical maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Identify, pursue, and close engine overhaul and module repair business for CFM56 / CF6 platforms (and future fleet types)
- Proactively generate qualified leads and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
- Achieve quarterly revenue targets and secure long-term service contracts
- Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and customer inquiries promptly and professionally
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, lessors, engine owners, and MRO partners
- Conduct site visits, customer meetings, and technical presentations promoting GTS capabilities
- Provide timely customer updates and manage expectations throughout the induction cycle
Sales Process Execution
- Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, commercial terms, and agreements
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to define work scopes and commercial conditions
- Maintain CRM and pipeline accuracy with active follow-ups and reporting
- Support trade shows, networking events, customer visits, and marketing initiatives
Market & Product Knowledge
- Stay current on market trends, fleet demand, engine values, and competitor capabilities
- Provide market feedback to leadership for strategy and pricing alignment
- Identify partnership opportunities for additional growth channels (leasing, hospital visit programs, on-wing support)
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years sales experience in aviation MRO, preferably in engine services
- Proven track record selling engine overhaul or module repair services
- Strong technical understanding of gas turbine engines (CFM56, CF6 preferred)
- Experience managing full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and proposal preparation skills
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred
- Airline, lessor, independent MRO, or OEM background
- Existing relationships with engine owners/operators in the Americas & global market
- Familiarity with CRM, contract terms, T&Cs, warranty programs, and MRO commercial models
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation Management, Engineering, or related field (not required with strong experience)
