We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Excavation Laborer to join our utility crew specializing in water main repairs and underground utility work. This position is focused on municipal and roadway utility construction
The ideal candidate will assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of:
- Ductile iron water main
- Copper water services
- Plastic water services
- Underground utility infrastructure within town and state roadways
This is a hands-on position requiring physical labor, teamwork, and the ability to work safely around excavation equipment and active roadways.
Responsibilities
- Assist with water main and water service repairs/installations
- Work with ductile iron pipe, copper piping, and plastic water services
- Perform excavation and utility labor duties in town and state roads
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at the shop and job sites
- Drive company trucks to and from project locations
- Assist operators and pipe crews during excavation and utility installation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and company vehicles
- Follow all safety procedures, traffic control requirements, and company policies
- Participate in emergency utility repairs and after-hours work when needed
Qualifications
- Construction or utility experience preferred
- Experience with underground utilities or water main work is a plus
- Valid driver’s license required
- CDL preferred but not required
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comfortable working in trenches and active roadway environments
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
