At Golden years, we believe that exceptional care begins with respect, kindness, empathy, community, and care. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Life Enrichment Specialist to provide one-on-one in-home support to our valued client.
About the Role
As a Life Enrichment Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in supporting comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Clients need full hands on with mobility, living independently with four friendly cats. We’re looking for a caregiver who can bring patience, organization, and warmth to this daily routine.
Responsibilities
Schedule is: Thursday 8am-3pm, Friday 8am-12pm, Sat 8am-12pm. and Sunday 8am-12pm (19 hour)
- Provide full hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and repositioning.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including lifting and use of appropriate equipment as needed.
- Help maintain and improve the condition of the home through light cleaning and organization.
- Support errands and transportation needs as part of fostering connections and independence.
- Offer emotional companionship, engaging conversation, and genuine empathy in all interactions.
- Care for and respect the household’s cats as part of the client’s comfort and happiness.
Schedule & Environment
- Non-smoking home
- Home currently needs improvement — a calm, patient, and proactive approach is key
Qualifications
- Female caregiver as requested by the client
- Prior experience working with bed- and chair-ridden clients required
- Must be comfortable working in a home with cats
- Ability to safely lift, support, and transition a client
- Compassionate demeanor with strong communication and time management skills
