MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Fabrication and Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for metal fabrication, as well as the maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facilities. Strong skills in mechanics, electrical systems, and the fabrication of parts, tools, and systems are essential. Good communication skills are important for this role, as it involves assisting others in the production of high-quality products while strictly adhering to safety and quality control measures. Basic computer skills, including the ability to search for replacement tooling and parts, and familiarity with email and Microsoft products, are a plus.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM - 4:15 PM & Friday 7:00 AM 12:00 Noon
DUTIES
- Operate manual lathes and milling machines to machine precision metal parts from engineering drawings.
- Set up, adjust, and maintain machining and welding equipment.
- Perform MIG/TIG and general welding for production, repair, and fabrication.
- Build prototype parts and custom tooling with engineering support.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Fabricate threaded components and high-pressure adapters.
- Safely work with high-pressure equipment, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Transfer liquids using pneumatic pumps.
- Maintain production equipment and assist with facility upkeep.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.
SKILLS
1. Machining and Fabrication:
Proficiency in operating lathe and milling machines.
Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings.
Experience with general welding and automatic welding machines.
Knowledge of thread cutting and making adaptors for high-pressure applications.
2. Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
Skills in operating and maintaining custom machinery and production equipment.
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Knowledge of electronics and electrical systems.
Ability to perform preventative maintenance and keep detailed records.
3. Quality Control:
Ability to inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Familiarity with quality control procedures and documentation.
4. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving issues with production equipment.
Ability to implement solutions to minimize downtime.
5. Safety and Compliance:
Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to follow them rigorously.
Ability to report hazards or incidents promptly.
6. Specialized Tasks:
Experience with transferring liquids using pneumatic pumps.
Skills in working with high-pressure equipment and pressure vessels.
7. Collaboration and Communication:
Ability to work effectively with management and engineering teams.
Strong communication skills to discuss and optimize production processes.
8. Attention to Detail:
Precision in machining and fabrication tasks.
Thoroughness in quality control inspections and documentation.
9. Adaptability:
Flexibility to assist in various tasks, including prototype building and facility maintenance.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

Pay: $23.37 - $27.48 per hour
