Duties

- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process sales accurately and quickly
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with product questions, including product demos when applicable
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure product availability
- Upsell related products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure cleanliness and proper stocking of checkout areas, adhering to safety and hygiene standards
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Support store operations by participating in inventory management, stocking, and merchandising tasks
- Supervise or assist new team members as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Previous supervising experience in retail or grocery store environments preferred
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for retail math calculations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Experience in grocery store or retail sales environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos to engage customers effectively
- Familiarity with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Professional phone etiquette for handling inquiries politely and efficiently
