Duties
- Cultivate and maintain mammalian cell cultures, including primary cells and cell lines, ensuring optimal growth conditions and quality control.
- Perform tissue culture procedures with precision, including transfection, cell banking, and cryopreservation.
- Isolate DNA from various biological samples using established protocols for downstream molecular analysis.
- Conduct molecular biology assays such as PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and next-generation sequencing to analyze cellular components and functions.
- Utilize flow cytometry for cell characterization, sorting, and phenotypic analysis to support research and manufacturing processes.
- Implement bioinformatics tools using R and Python for data analysis, interpretation, and visualization of experimental results.
- Execute assays related to cell biology, biochemistry, genetics, and biotechnology to evaluate cell health, functionality, and product quality.
- Ensure all laboratory activities comply with CGMP guidelines for clinical-grade manufacturing environments.
- Support research initiatives by designing experiments, analyzing data, and documenting findings in detailed reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize protocols for transfection efficiency, assay development, and process scalability.
Experience
- Proven laboratory experience in tissue culture techniques with a focus on mammalian cells.
- Hands-on experience with DNA isolation methods and molecular biology techniques such as PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and next-generation sequencing.
- Familiarity with flow cytometry instrumentation and data analysis software.
- Strong background in biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, or related fields within biotechnology or biomedical research.
- Experience working under CGMP conditions in a regulated environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in programming languages like R and Python for bioinformatics data analysis is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to perform assays related to transfection, molecular biology workflows, and cellular characterization techniques.
- Laboratory experience involving assay development, validation, and process optimization for cell therapy manufacturing is preferred. Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
