Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Salary: $90,000 – $110,000
Location: Springboro, OH
Schedule: Full-time, flexible start time (8-hour shift beginning between 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM, Monday–Friday)
Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing production environment focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with production teams to improve processes, solve problems, and increase efficiency across manufacturing operations.
You will play a key role in optimizing production processes, supporting equipment performance, and driving initiatives that improve quality, throughput, and cost.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with production teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement practical solutions
- Identify and execute process improvements to reduce waste, variation, and downtime
- Support and lead continuous improvement (Lean) initiatives across the facility
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to ensure equipment and processes operate effectively
- Assist in the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes
- Provide technical support for production equipment, including PLCs, servo systems, and electrical components
- Maintain documentation including process instructions, reports, and project updates
- Train operators and team members on new processes, equipment, and improvements
- Participate in cross-functional projects to improve overall plant performance
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with PLCs, servo systems, and industrial electrical components
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
Skills & Competencies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production environment
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and improve processes
- Hands-on approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Physical Requirements
- Regular standing, walking, and use of hands for tools and equipment
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work on the production floor for extended periods
- Visual ability for both detailed and distance work
Work Environment
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and moving parts
- Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures
- Moderate noise levels typical of industrial settings
