Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Journeyman to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure efficient operation and longevity.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to execute precise installations and repairs.
- Conduct service calls as a service technician, diagnosing issues with refrigeration systems, plumbing connections, or mechanical components.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs requiring metal fabrication or component replacement.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and system modifications.
- Operate a vehicle safely to transport tools or equipment between job sites while adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks such as appliance repair or general mechanical upkeep when needed.
- Follow safety protocols during all field service activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving HVAC design modifications or ammonia refrigeration systems.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of construction principles related to HVAC installation and maintenance.
- Proven experience as a service technician with the ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC/R systems effectively.
- Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans for accurate system setup.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and general equipment repair.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and performing welding tasks when necessary.
- Experience in field service operations with the ability to manage multiple job sites efficiently.
- Familiarity with appliance repair and property maintenance tasks beyond HVAC systems.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for safe transportation duties.
- Ability to read technical manuals and follow detailed instructions precisely.
