Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Mechanic Apprentice to join our team. In this role, you will assist experienced mechanics in maintaining, repairing, and servicing a variety of drilling equipment and vehicles.
Duties
- Support vehicle maintenance activities including oil changes, tire replacements, and fluid checks
- Assist mechanics with routine maintenance and repairs on drilling rigs, vehicles, and support equipment
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks such as tightening, loosening, replacing parts, and assembling components
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed during all tasks
- Help with the inspection of equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Follow instructions from senior mechanics to learn proper repair procedures and safety practices.
Skills
- Must have a valid driver license
- Basic mechanical knowledge with a willingness to learn more advanced repair techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and work as part of a team
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
