The University Laboratory School seeks qualified candidates for the position of secondary Mathematics Teacher.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate degree in subject area or related field
- Knowledge of and experience in effective classroom management, student-centered learning, and cooperative instructional strategies
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to students, parents, administration, teachers, and the community in a professional manner
- Possess a valid State of Hawaii Teaching License in mathematics or Hawaii State Teacher License must be earned within three (3) years of employment.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in subject area or related field
- Experience teaching in an educational research environment
- Extensive experience in teaching in a multicultural and diverse learning environment
- Experience teaching heterogeneously grouped classes
