We are seeking an EXPERIENCED and detail-oriented Metal Fabrication Quality Control Inspector to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties
- Perform thorough inspections of metal fabrication components using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Utilize coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for detailed 3D measurements and geometric analysis of fabricated parts.
- Conduct quality audits across manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and other relevant standards.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality documentation to identify deviations or non-conformities.
- Collect data systematically during inspections and compile detailed reports for analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly, implementing corrective actions aligned with quality management systems such as CGMP and HACCP where applicable.
- Support calibration and maintenance of measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and other precision instruments to guarantee measurement accuracy.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles within manufacturing environments, especially in metal fabrication.
- Experience with Calypso software or similar quality management systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 (medical device quality management), ISO 9001 standards, FDA regulations, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), and HACCP protocols.
- Proficiency in operating coordinate measuring machines (CMM), vision inspection systems, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret measurement data, identify root causes of defects, and recommend improvements.
- Ability to perform comprehensive quality audits and participate in internal/external assessments confidently.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent organizational skills for effective data collection and reporting.
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively across teams while maintaining high standards of quality assurance.
