American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for an Inpatient Rehab unit, requiring BLS certification and a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Inpatient rehabilitation unit within an acute care setting
-
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Utilizes Epic electronic medical records system
-
Patient population includes adults with orthopedic, neurological, and rehabilitation needs, including CVA, TBI, hip/knee replacements, amputee care, and other conditions

Current BLS certification required

Active state Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license required if applicable

Minimum of 1 year of experience required

Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) experience preferred

Epic charting system experience preferred

Provide occupational therapy services including assessment, discharge planning, and plan of care development

Deliver treatment for conditions such as CVA, TBI, dementia, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and orthopedic injuries

Perform home exercise program instruction, patient/family education, and safety/injury prevention training
-
Utilize adaptive equipment, splinting, and lymphedema management as needed

Support community re-entry and pre-discharge planning for patients

First-time travelers will be considered for this role

Limited to 2 RTO requests per contract

Scrub colors permitted include black, grey, plum, light blue, teal, wine, navy, and royal

Previous employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and may be accepted at a lower rate
