Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the POS system accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Assist with merchandising by organizing displays and ensuring products are well-stocked and visually appealing
- Manage inventory through stocking shelves, organizing back stock, and conducting regular stock checks
- Handle cashiering duties including processing returns, exchanges, and maintaining accurate cash register balances
- Engage in effective communication with customers using phone etiquette to answer questions or provide assistance
- Support store operations by supervising team members when needed and ensuring adherence to store policies
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team coordination abilities
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math is essential for accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
- Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, merchandising, and stock management will set you apart
- Basic math skills are necessary for cash handling and retail calculations
