Duties
- Greet guests with enthusiasm and professionalism, creating a positive first impression
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate timely service and seating arrangements
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area
- Support servers by bussing tables, refilling supplies, and ensuring smooth guest flow
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
- Uphold phone etiquette standards when handling reservations or inquiries via phone
Experience
- Prior experience as a host or hostess in a food service or restaurant setting preferred
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in hotel or guest services enhances ability to deliver hospitality excellence
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving protocols, and guest relations practices is beneficial
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Previous experience with phone etiquette and guest interaction helps ensure positive guest experiences
