A Workforce Scheduling Coordinator opportunity is available in Seattle, WA for a detail-oriented operations professional who enjoys real-time problem solving, communication, and coordination in a fast-paced logistics and transportation environment. This long-term temporary role offers consistent part-time hours, hybrid flexibility after training, and the potential to continue for years.
This position supports daily workforce scheduling for an organization serving Washington’s maritime industry. Maritime experience is not required. Candidates with transferable experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, manufacturing scheduling, production planning, terminal operations, or workforce coordination are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily workforce assignments based on operational needs and changing priorities.
- Communicate with internal teams and stakeholders to confirm staffing coverage and scheduling requirements.
- Monitor operational updates and make timely scheduling adjustments as needs shift.
- Prepare reports, update workforce records, and maintain accurate scheduling documentation.
- Support smooth daily operations by balancing multiple priorities and resolving scheduling issues.
- Partner with team members in a collaborative environment to help ensure reliable workforce coverage.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $27.50 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Long-term temporary opportunity with the potential to continue for years.
- Part-time schedule averaging 15 to 20 hours per week.
- Training schedule: Onsite in Seattle two weekdays per week while learning the role.
- After training: One weekday per week onsite in the Seattle office.
- Remote work: Two weekends per month from home.
- Split-shift schedule: Approximately 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the morning, or 5:30 a.m. when cruise ships are in port, and approximately 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the afternoon.
- The middle of the day is free, offering flexibility for personal commitments, school, supplemental income, or another flexible position.
