Position Summary
In this role, you will work closely with our Manufacturing Facility Leads to gain hands-on experience in the different departments involved in pipe fabrication. Additionally, you will rotate through fieldwork with our Journeymen to learn piping installation processes. This hands-on training is essential before supporting our high-profile mechanical construction projects.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong organizational and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
General Responsibilities
- Support purchasing activities for mechanical construction projects
- Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes and pricing
- Procure materials, equipment, and supplies
- Track orders to ensure timely delivery
- Maintain vendor relationships and performance records
- Resolve discrepancies with orders, invoices, and deliveries
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with forecasting material needs
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Gain hands-on exposure to field operations to better understand project material requirements
