Telecom Facility Multi-Building Campus About the Role
CBRE is seeking a Union Maintenance Mechanic to support a mission-critical telecom facility spanning over 384,000 sq. ft. This role plays a key part in maintaining cloud infrastructure and network operations across a dynamic, multi-building campus.
As part of CBRE’s Engineering and Technical Services team, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and respond to urgent service needs across a wide range of building systems. This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-impact, fast-paced environment where reliability and responsiveness are essential. What You’ll Do
Perform day-to-day preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on building systems and equipment
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, and general building systems
Respond quickly to emergency situations, particularly those impacting cloud and network infrastructure
Review and complete work orders, including estimating materials and time required
Maintain accurate documentation including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and work orders using Corrigo CMMS
Assist with installation, modification, and inspection of equipment to ensure compliance with safety and building codes
Maintain facility lighting, grounds, and general building upkeep
Partner with contractors, vendors, and onsite personnel (including client teams) to support operations
Follow all safety protocols, company procedures, and regulatory requirements

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma
2–3 years of commercial or industrial maintenance experience
Hands-on experience across multiple trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry preferred)
Ability to perform intermediate to advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Experience using CMMS systems (Corrigo preferred)
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Trade school certification
OSHA certification
HVAC or electrical certifications Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more
Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, and working in industrial environments
Exposure to mechanical systems, equipment rooms, and critical infrastructure areas Schedule & On-Call Expectations
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
On-Call: Continuous (24/7 emergency response required)
Response Time: Within 1 hour for critical cloud-related issues
Overtime & Weekend Work: Required as needed Team & Work Environment
Reports to: Site Management
Small team environment (this role will be the second technician onsite)
Primarily independent work with support from contractors and vendors
