Job Overview
We are looking for a full time, competent dental assistant who will make the dentist’s office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You’ll ensure excellent customer service. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care, able to make office procedures as smooth as possible and be an excellent team member. Working hours are Mon-Tues & Thurs-Fri, 7:45 AM to 5:00-5:30 PM. Occasional Wednesday and later hours if needed.
Responsibilities
Welcome and prepare patients for treatments or check-ups. Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed for procedures. Take full mouth x-rays, Pano's, CT's. Sterilize instruments according to regulations. Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry. Undertake lab tasks as instructed. Help hygienist with x-rays, polishing and flossing, when needed. Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Keep the dental room clean and well stocked. Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures, when needed. Keep operatories and labs clean.
Qualifications
Experience is preferred. 1 year. Understanding of health & safety regulations, good computer, spelling, math and note writing skills. Excellent communication and people skills, attention to detail, well-organized, reliable.
Additional Information
Experience in Open Dental software or other dental software is a plus. Pay will be determined by experience.
CPR certification
X-Ray certification
Hepatitis A and B vaccinated

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
