Analyze and approve accounts (retail and wholesale) for credit allowance and assign credit limits; assess the company’s credit policies, ensuring alignment with risk capability, healthy cash flow, and business growth while balancing strong customer relationships.
Maintain strong, long-term relationships with other credit managers in the industry, local financial institutions, and related partners
Lead collections activities, collecting past due accounts from customers, for timely recovery of outstanding receivables
Work with wholesale customers to establish and maintain business credit insurance.
Manage grower input financing programs
Maintain all customer credit files plus certificates of insurance for all approved suppliers.
Assist with management of company insurance coverages; administer insurance claim procedures for Co-op
Assist in identifying and evaluating exposures/financial risks; recommend solutions; Monitor compliance
Facilitate risk and credit management meetings with leadership team and appropriate personnel
Act as political liaison with Michigan Agribusiness Association (MABA) and other applicable organizations
Identify & pursue governmental grant opportunities
