Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble components for menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in cooking, plating, and presenting dishes with attention to quality and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety protocols
- Support menu planning by preparing daily ingredients and assisting with special catering or event needs
- Handle food safely during preparation, storage, and serving to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of orders
- Participate in inventory management by rotating stock, checking expiration dates, and notifying supervisors of supply needs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards essential for maintaining a safe kitchen
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques required
- Experience in cooking, food preparation, or restaurant settings is highly desirable
