Duties
- Process cash register transactions accurately using Toast POS system including sales, refunds, discounts, and voids
- Handle customer food orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timely service during overnight hours
- Assist in food preparation tasks when needed, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively to support food service operations
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation guidelines and performing regular cleaning duties
- Manage cash handling procedures meticulously, including processing cash transactions and balancing registers at shift end
- Support upselling efforts by engaging customers and promoting menu items to enhance sales performance
Skills
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with strong cashiering skills
- Familiarity with POS system Toast for efficient transaction processing
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and register balancing
- Knowledge of food safety management, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent customer service abilities with a friendly, positive attitude
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks during busy overnight shifts
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and support food preparation when necessary
- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is a plus for understanding diverse customer needs
