Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to facilitate construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on-site. Your expertise will help drive project success by managing equipment safely and effectively while adhering to all safety regulations and operational standards. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, cranes, bulldozers, and excavators with precision and safety awareness.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Handle materials efficiently using material handling equipment including forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and farm machinery.
- Follow all safety procedures and occupational safety regulations, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist in site preparation by grading, digging, lifting, and moving materials as directed by project supervisors.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities for accountability and compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion while adhering to safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience operating heavy machinery such as loaders, backhoes, cranes, or similar equipment.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and hydraulics systems.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently in various work conditions.
- Strong understanding of equipment safety procedures and occupational safety regulation compliance.
- Experience with digging hot lines.
- Knowledge of construction experience including site preparation, material movement, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards.
