Dixon Ford VW is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality repairs and exceptional customer satisfaction while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of vehicle systems while following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, and fluid services.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns using diagnostic equipment and service information.
- Repair and replace components including brakes, suspension, steering, engine, transmission, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Conduct thorough multi-point vehicle inspections and document findings accurately.
- Test drive vehicles as necessary to verify customer concerns and confirm repairs.
- Communicate recommended repairs and maintenance needs clearly through repair orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Properly use and maintain shop equipment and personal tools.
- Stay current on automotive technology through ongoing training and certification.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an automotive technician preferred.
- ASE certifications are a plus.
- Manufacturer certifications are preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to operate diagnostic scan tools and other automotive equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
