Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and food preparation equipment to uphold health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including sinks, dishwashing stations, and storage spaces
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as organizing ingredients and supporting catering or banquet setups when needed
- Support the food service team by bussing tables and clearing used dishes during busy service times
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure hygiene and prevent cross-contamination
- Help with general cleaning duties around the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and special events such as banquets or catering functions
Skills
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
