Position Overview
We’re seeking a Front Counter Host/Bartender who takes pride in great service, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and understands how to balance hustle with hospitality. This hybrid role combines front-of-house service and bar responsibilities — greeting guests, taking orders, preparing drinks (including cocktails), and ensuring the café runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with genuine hospitality and positive energy
- Take, process, and deliver food and drink orders accurately
- Prepare and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to café standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter, bar, and dining area
- Handle transactions and operate the POS system with accuracy
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to increase sales
- Assist with restocking, light prep, and opening/closing duties as assigned
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and management team to keep service running efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, bartending, or café operations preferred
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Strong sense of salesmanship and guest engagement
- Team-oriented with a proactive attitude — sees what needs doing and does it
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Louisiana Responsible Vendor Permit
