Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
- Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and general questions
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area, ensuring all guest needs are promptly addressed
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service flow
- Handle guest concerns or special requests with professionalism, aiming to enhance their overall experience
Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess experience in a food service or restaurant setting is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Knowledge of hospitality standards, including guest relations and guest services best practices
- Excellent phone etiquette and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Prior hotel or guest services experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to remain energetic, friendly, and professional throughout shifts
