Therapy Assistant
Job Description:
SJ & Associates is an established NYS Early Intervention and Preschool Developmental Services agency that has been treating and evaluating children with developmental delays since 1995. We are committed to providing children, parents and their caregivers with high quality, caring services pursuant to the highest ethical, business and legal standards.
We are looking for a Therapy Assistant to help in a NYS Early Intervention Group Services program in our Stony Point Office. The Therapy Assistant will assist the group leader with day-to-day lessons and routines in a program for children 18 months - 3 years old.
Responsibilities:
● Help ensure safety of the children during program
● Assist with drop off and pick up
● Must strictly adhere to the programs rules and regulations
● Prepare materials for class
● Help with diapering as needed
*light cleaning required
Work Experience and Qualifications:
* Must be reliable
● Ability to work with children with different learning needs
● Friendly & nurturing disposition
● Knowledge of basic child care principles
● Ability to prioritize activities quickly and support the teacher in instances that are exceptionally busy
● Ability to manage potentially challenging behavior from students and maintain a professional and patient demeanor

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
