American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with ARRT certification and an Associate's Degree in Radiation Therapy for a Radiation Oncology department in Paducah, KY.

Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department
-
Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with occasional overtime as needed
-
40 hours per week, 8 hours per shift

On-call availability required, including weekends and holidays

Experience with Aria EMR and Varian linear accelerators preferred
-
ARRT registration in Radiation Therapy required
-
Active Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy licensure required (license required if applicable)

Current BLS certification required
-
Associate's Degree in Radiation Therapy required

Strong clinical knowledge of radiotherapy treatment units, simulation, field blocking techniques, and immobilization device fabrication

Basic computer skills and ability to operate standard office equipment
-
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Ability to work with minimal supervision

MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Administer ionizing radiation and document accurate treatment data in the patient chart

Assist Radiation Oncologist with simulations and fabrication of immobilization devices

Operate and demonstrate proficiency with CT simulator equipment

Serve as clinical instructor for radiation therapy students, including monitoring and documenting student progress and conducting monthly student progress meetings

Consult with Radiation Oncologists regarding patient examinations as needed
-
Explain procedures to patients and families across all age ranges (neonatal to geriatric)

Maintain and restock treatment rooms with linens and supplies

Collaborate closely with staff, peers, management, and physicians to support department operations
