Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Head Girls POM (Pom Pom) Coach to lead and inspire our cheerleading team. This pivotal role involves developing engaging routines, fostering team spirit, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants. As a leader in our program, you will motivate young athletes to achieve their best while promoting teamwork, discipline, and confidence. The ideal candidate is passionate about sports coaching, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a strong background in cheerleading, dance, or related physical activities. Responsibilities
- Design and choreograph high-energy cheerleading routines that align with team goals and competitions
- Lead team practices, providing clear instructions and constructive feedback to enhance performance
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth
- Oversee safety protocols during all activities, including proper use of AED (Automated External Defibrillator) equipment when necessary
- Manage behavior and discipline issues effectively, promoting respectful interactions among team members
- Coordinate with school staff, parents, and event organizers to ensure smooth participation in competitions and performances
- Provide coaching in related sports skills such as gymnastics, dance, or martial arts to improve athletic ability
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and safety incidents
Requirements
- Proven experience in cheerleading coaching or sports-specific training instruction
- Experience working with children or students in a coaching or teaching capacity
- Excellent communication skills to motivate teams and collaborate with stakeholders
- Certification or experience in CPR/AED operation is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified
- Ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a fun and disciplined environment.
