POSITION #1
Position Title:
Personal Care Aide / Support Specialist for Twice-Exceptional Young Adult Brothers (17 & 18)
Rate: $25-30 per hour (DOE)
W2 income position which requires a live scan and background check to be cleared to work.
Must have unrestricted access to work legally in the US.
Estimated Hours/Schedule:
20-24 hours per week, weekdays between 8:00am-8:00pm (flexible scheduling within
this window). Occasional weekend/overnight coverage 1-2 nights per month when
parents travel.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities: Seeking a experienced and grounded Personal Aide/Support Specialist (Companion) for a twice exceptional young adult male brothers with ASD/ADHD.
College degree and some behavior training in “related” field. Or 10+ years experience with their own children or grandchildren with ASD/ADHD. 30 hrs certified online ABA training a Plus! Will be offered if not certified. CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain. Minimum 2-3 years hands-on experience working with young adults with autism.
or developmental disabilities. This person will be a team player who can coordinate seamlessly with existing staff and open to feedback, as well as working independently. Encouraging a healthy lifestyle & habits. Full Supervision & Guidance during community outings and activities. The ability to meet them where they are and help them move forward.
We're looking for someone who will become a trusted member our boys care providing
team.
Family will provide vehicle for all transportation needs. Candidate must have valid DL & proof
of auto insurance even though family vehicles are fully insured. Clean driving record (experienced, confident driver in LA traffic)
Two-story home. Position requires physical capability to manage stairs to front entrance.
One sweet & friendly 60lb Bernadoodle who loves attention. Candidate must be
comfortable with dogs and be able to handle confidently. Able to life at least 40lbs.
Comfortable with severe food allergies and EpiPen administration (training
provided)

SKILL SET FOR ILS POSITION #2:
- Comfortable preparing meals, grocery shopping, doing laundry, light household tasks.
- Strong executive functioning skills to model and support clients
- Excellent judgment and discretion
- Support with executive functioning (organization, time management, following through on tasks)
- Assistance & guidance with daily living activities including personal hygiene (i.e reminders for combing hair/brushing teeth), meal prep, household tasks.
- Encourage independence while providing appropriate scaffolding.
