Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Lead Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer to spearhead our HVAC installation projects and ensure top-tier service delivery. Duties
- Lead and coordinate HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and efficient completion
- Supervise and mentor a team of HVAC technicians, providing guidance on technical tasks and safety protocols
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to execute precise system installations
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including refrigeration units, air conditioning units, boilers, and building automation systems
- Perform electrical diagnostics and mechanical systems repair to resolve complex equipment issues
- Utilize hand tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify faults and implement solutions
- Ensure all installations comply with local codes, EPA regulations (including refrigerant handling), and safety standards
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on HVAC system installation and maintenance
- Service technician experience in troubleshooting HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems
- Strong understanding of schematics, mechanical systems repair, electrical diagnostics, and HVAC design principles
- Knowledge of plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and building automation systems integration
- Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and boiler operations
- Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to operate hand tools efficiently
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL or <PERSON> driver certification preferred
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in electrical systems or building automation are advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members
- Ability to lead projects independently while fostering teamwork among technicians
