Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Leasing Associate to join our property management team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for prospective tenants, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in property leasing, customer service, and legal regulations will ensure a seamless experience for applicants while maintaining compliance with Fair Housing laws and Section 8 programs. Duties
- Greet prospective tenants warmly, providing comprehensive information about available properties and community amenities
- Conduct property tours, highlighting features that meet clients’ needs and preferences
- Manage the leasing process from application submission to lease signing, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete
- Verify applicant information using Buildium for background checks, credit reports, and income verification
- Maintain detailed records of leasing activity, data entry, and filing in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate move-ins, address tenant concerns, and facilitate property readiness
- Handle conflict management professionally, resolving disputes or issues promptly while maintaining positive customer relationships
- Prepare contracts, lease agreements, and legal documents accurately while adhering to landlord-tenant law standards
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing laws
- Proficiency in property management software such as Buildium
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette and ability to build rapport quickly
- Legal administrative experience related to contracts, leases, and tenant screening processes
- Experience in real estate administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and record keeping
- Familiarity with property maintenance coordination and facilities management practices
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in an office environment with strong organizational skills
- Conflict management capabilities coupled with a calm demeanor under pressure
- Demonstrated experience in sales or customer relationship management within property leasing or related fields

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
