Key Administrative Responsibilities (75%)
Program Leadership & Administration
¨ Provide day-to-day leadership and administrative oversight for all aspects of Koinonia.
¨ Develop and manage annual program plans, timelines, and processes for the Practicum,
MDiv integration, and related initiatives.
¨ Supervise a part-time program assistant and coordinate with other relevant staff and
faculty.
¨ Ensure appropriate use and tracking of grant resources; approve distribution of Koinonia
funds in collaboration with the Academic Dean.
¨ Prepare regular internal and external reports on program progress, challenges, and
outcomes.
Practicum (Parish Internship) Oversight
¨ Implement and refine the one-semester, full-time parish Practicum (12 credits) as the core
of Koinonia.
¨ Collaborate with the Practicum Placement Committee to:
- Identify and approve host parishes in collaboration with Metropolis chancellors.
- Match seminarians with appropriate parish sites, taking into account student
preparation and parish context.
¨ Coordinate training, resources, and ongoing support for parish priest mentors before,
during, and after each Practicum cycle.
¨ Ensure that interns are fully immersed in parish life, including youth ministry, preaching,
parish administration, catechesis, and exposure to Greek-American Orthodox ethos.
¨ Facilitate bi-weekly contact structures (e.g., Zoom meetings with pastoral care faculty)
and other programmatic supports for seminarians in the field.
Assessment & Evaluation
¨ Work with pastoral care faculty and assessment coordinator to:
- Implement competency-based evaluations in the four primary outcome areas:
Greek Orthodox ethos, pastoral sensitivity, catechetical/teaching skills, and
servant leadership.
- Design, distribute, and interpret student, mentor, and site evaluations (surveys,
interviews, focus groups).
- Integrate Practicum data into broader MDiv student assessment processes and
institutional assessment.
¨ Provide annual summary reports to the Academic Dean and faculty, including
recommendations for program adjustment.
Collaboration & Governance
¨ Serve as principal liaison between Holy Cross and collaborating GOA structures
(Archdiocese, Metropolises, parishes) for all Koinonia-related matters.
¨ Staff and work closely with the Koinonia Advisory Board, contributing to vision,
planning, implementation, and the identification of best practices.
