Job Description – General Labor / Grinding & Cleaning
Pay: $17.00/hour
Shift Options:
- 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Position Summary
WorkSolved Staffing is currently hiring dependable and hardworking General Labor / Grinding & Cleaning associates for a manufacturing and metal casting facility in the Grand Rapids area. This position involves finishing and cleaning large metal castings using hand tools, grinders, and other industrial equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Grind, clean, and finish metal castings
- Remove excess metal, burrs, and rough edges from parts
- Inspect castings for defects or imperfections
- Use hand grinders, air tools, and other production equipment safely
- Assist with material handling and movement of castings
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow all plant safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Perform general labor duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
- Comfortable working in a foundry/manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical work throughout shift
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
