Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled A Level Technician specializing in Outdoor Power Equipment to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of outdoor power tools and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help keep our customers’ outdoor machinery running smoothly, whether it’s lawnmowers, chainsaws, generators, or other heavy-duty equipment. Duties
- Perform detailed diagnostics and repairs on outdoor power equipment using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct engine repairs, including diesel engines and small engines, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs efficiently
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform electrical diagnostics on various equipment models
- Maintain accurate service records, update repair logs, and communicate repair status clearly to customers and team members
- Assist with the inspection of incoming equipment for damage or wear and perform preventive maintenance tasks
- Support sales by providing technical advice on equipment features and recommending suitable solutions for customers’ needs
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with outdoor power equipment or similar machinery
- Extensive service technician experience with mechanical systems repair and diagnostics
- Strong knowledge of schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and mechanical blueprints
- Expertise in diesel engine repair, generator repair, and automotive repair techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, and other manual handling equipment
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery including lawnmowers, trimmers, chainsaws, and related outdoor tools
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely while adhering to manual handling protocols
- Experience with vehicle maintenance or heavy equipment repair is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery brands is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients
- Strong mechanical systems repair skills combined with electrical diagnostics expertise

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
