Independent Food Safety & Quality Auditor
Philadelphia & New Jersey | Independent Contractor
InsightCore QA is seeking experienced Food Safety & Quality Auditors to conduct independent onsite audits of restaurants and hotels throughout Philadelphia and New Jersey.
This is a flexible, project-based independent contractor opportunity. Auditors visit assigned locations, complete a standardized QA checklist, document findings with photos, and submit a professional report.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct onsite food-safety audits
- Review food storage, temperatures, sanitation and employee hygiene
- Identify potential food-safety and operational deficiencies
- Evaluate facility cleanliness and condition
- Review brand/operational standards
- Assess overall restaurant or hotel environment
- Take photos documenting findings
- Complete a standardized digital scorecard
- Submit an audit report after each visit
- Clearly document critical issues requiring management attention
Compensation
$125 per completed audit
Additional compensation may be available for:
- Larger/more comprehensive audits
- Multiple locations
- Travel outside your normal service area
- Follow-up inspections

Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for people with experience in:
- Restaurant management
- Hotel operations
- Food safety
- Quality assurance
- Hospitality operations
- Health/code compliance
- Restaurant inspections
- Foodservice management
Preferred qualifications include ServSafe, HACCP, Certified Food Protection Manager, health-inspection, QA/auditing, or comparable experience, where applicable.

Schedule
Flexible / project-based
Assignments are generally scheduled in advance. You can select assignments based on your availability and preferred territory.
Potential territories include:
Philadelphia | South Jersey | Central Jersey | North Jersey
Example Assignment
Restaurant QA Audit — Philadelphia
Approximately 60–90 minutes onsite:
Food Safety → Facility → Brand Standards → Ambience → Photos → Digital Report
Compensation: $125+
You are not responsible for correcting the restaurant’s deficiencies. Your job is to observe, document, score and report objectively.
Important
This is an independent contractor position, not a traditional hourly employee position. Auditors are responsible for their own taxes, transportation and applicable insurance/credentials.
