eBay Parts & Motorcycle Salvage Operation
Location: Kenosha, WI
Schedule: Full-time, Hourly (Mon–Fri)
Pay: $25–$30 per hour (DOE) + performance bonus opportunity
Reports to: Owner
About the Role
We are a high-volume motorcycle salvage and eBay parts operation seeking a hands-on, working Operations / Production Manager.
This is not an office job and not a sit-back-and-supervise role.
When not performing management duties, this person will be actively assisting the team with their normal duties which may include inventory management, motorcycle tear down, listing parts, shipping, etc
This role exists to:
- Drive daily production
- Enforce standards
- Set the pace by example
- Maintain accountability when ownership is not on site

Core Objective (Non-Negotiable)
Ensure the shop consistently hits daily production targets
Success is measured by output, accuracy, and consistency, not intentions.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Leadership (Primary)
- Enforce daily listing goals (200 listings/day shop-wide)
- Ensure individual productivity targets are met
- Run daily production checkpoints
- Maintain and update a live production scoreboard
- Reduce downtime, social drift, and task switching
Working Manager Duties (Daily)
When not actively managing:
- Break down motorcycles for parts
- Clean, stage, and prep parts
- Create accurate eBay listings
- Pick and ship parts to fulfil online orders
- Follow the same productivity and quality standards as the team
- Set the pace and standard by example
This role is expected to produce listings, not just direct others.
Picking & Shipping Oversight
- Enforce same-day shipping for orders sold by noon
- Ensure 0 orders pending at end of day
- All orders picked, boxed, labeled, and ready to ship
- Reduce “part not found” cancellations
- Eliminate wrong-part shipments
Customer Communication
- Ensure all eBay customer messages are answered by end of day
- No customers left on “read” overnight
- Step in to resolve escalations when needed
Team Accountability
- Address underperformance same day
- Coach first, correct second
- Hold consistent standards without favoritism
- Protect productive employees from carrying low performers
Process Improvement
- Identify bottlenecks in layout, tools, staging, or workflow
- Recommend improvements to ownership
- Enforce standardized processes once approved
What This Role Is NOT
- Not desk-only
- Not a passive supervisor
- Not optional authority
This role requires hands-on leadership and real-time correction.
Required Qualifications
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience (production, warehouse, logistics, or similar)
- Comfortable enforcing standards and addressing low performance
- Mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn motorcycle disassembly
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Reliable and consistent attendance
Preferred (Not Required)
- Motorcycle, automotive, or mechanical background
- Experience listing items on eBay or similar platforms
- Warehouse or production management experience
What Success Looks Like (First 30 Days)
- Daily listing output increases measurably
- Production goals are hit even when owner is off-site
- Manager contributes directly to listings and teardown
- Reduced picking/shipping errors and cancellations
- Clear accountability and structure on the floor
