<p>Role: Mailroom Clerk
Pay: $18.00/hour
Assignment: Support mailroom operations by sorting, distributing, tracking, and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and documents while ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Location: 11501 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, MD 20904
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM–12:00 AM
What you'll do:
- Sort incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and documents accurately.
- Distribute mail and packages to the appropriate departments and individuals.
- Ensure timely delivery of all mail and package items.
- Maintain an organized and efficient mailroom environment.
- Keep accurate records of incoming and outgoing deliveries.
- Track packages, receipts, and delivery information using mailroom software or tracking systems.
- Update and verify package locations and delivery status.
- Assist with mailroom operations to ensure smooth daily workflow.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately sort and distribute mail and packages.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and handle packages of varying weights.
- Basic computer skills for tracking deliveries and updating records.
- Familiarity with mailroom equipment, such as postage meters and scanners, is preferred.
- Dependable and able to maintain accuracy while meeting deadlines. </p>
