Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and drive fiscal excellence across the organization. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, financial planning, and risk analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong Hospitality Finance background. As a key leader, you will shape financial strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and support business development initiatives to foster sustainable growth. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing insightful financial reports that inform executive decision-making.
Duties
- Lead the preparation and interpretation of comprehensive financial statements
- Oversee corporate accounting functions including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, cost accounting, and cash flow analysis.
- Develop and maintain robust financial projection models to support strategic planning and forecasting activities.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory reporting requirements for governmental agencies and non-profit organizations where applicable.
- Drive risk analysis initiatives to identify potential financial vulnerabilities and implement effective risk management practices.
- Lead the finance team through strategic management processes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in financial systems and processes.
- Collaborate with business development teams to evaluate revenue growth strategies.
- Oversee budgeting processes, cost control measures, and profit & loss analysis to optimize organizational performance.
Experience
- Extensive experience in finance leadership roles with proven success in directorship positions within complex organizations.
- Strong background in industry-specific financial standards.
- Proficiency in financial software systems along with advanced Excel data analysis skills for developing detailed financial models.
- In-depth knowledge of industry trends related to forecasting strategies.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams while driving strategic initiatives forward.
- Proven track record of implementing effective budgeting strategies, forecasting techniques, and cost management practices that enhance organizational sustainability.
- Excellent communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and interpreting complex data for stakeholders at all levels.
