About the Role
MAAX Bath is seeking dependable and mechanically inclined Maintenance Technicians to join our manufacturing team in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Openings are available on both 1st and 2nd shift.
In this role, you will help maintain the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting repairs throughout the facility. Whether you are building your maintenance career or expanding your technical skills, you'll work alongside an experienced team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Diagnose and repair basic mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Replace worn or damaged machine components including bearings, belts, chains, motors, and other mechanical parts.
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and production line improvements.
- Respond to maintenance requests to minimize equipment downtime.
- Complete work orders and accurately document maintenance activities.
- Inspect equipment to identify potential safety concerns or maintenance needs.
- Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
- Follow all OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies.
- Support facility maintenance projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of maintenance, machine repair, industrial maintenance, or related experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to read work orders, maintenance instructions, and equipment documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work either 1st or 2nd shift.
- Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic welding, fabrication, or machining experience.
- Experience with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, or production equipment.
- Familiarity with CMMS or computerized maintenance systems.
- Forklift or aerial lift experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
- Work safely around moving machinery and industrial equipment.
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
