We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Food Runner and Expo to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
- Safely handle and transport food orders from the kitchen to guest tables or designated service areas using proper manual handling techniques.
- Ensure all food items are prepared according to quality standards before delivery.
- Assist with clearing tables, bussing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining and service areas.
- Support the kitchen team by performing basic food handling, prep, and sanitation tasks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with servers, chefs, and guests to coordinate timely food delivery and address special requests.
- Follow safe lifting practices when moving heavy trays or equipment to prevent injuries.
- Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to food safety standards, cleaning stations regularly, and assisting with overall sanitation efforts.
Skills
- Proven experience in food running, serving, or restaurant operations with a focus on guest service excellence.
- Strong communication skills to interact clearly with team members and guests.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices.
- Experience in banquet settings or large-scale hospitality environments is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
