Accountant – General Accounting

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant – General Accounting to support general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial reconciliations, and reporting activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing, and is comfortable working with financial data, investigating discrepancies, and supporting accurate and timely financial reporting. This role will work closely with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams while gaining exposure to a growing solar manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities
- General Ledger & Month-End Close: Perform and support general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
- Manufacturing Accounting: Support accounting activities related to inventory, fixed assets, manufacturing expenses, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Account Reconciliation: Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure issues are resolved accurately and timely.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with monthly financial reporting and provide supporting schedules and analysis as needed.
- ERP & Data Management: Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or other ERP systems to maintain accurate accounting records, retrieve financial data, and support reporting and reconciliation activities.
- Problem Solving & Analysis: Analyze accounting transactions and financial data to identify discrepancies, process gaps, or unusual trends and assist in developing practical solutions.
- Audit & Internal Controls: Support internal controls and assist with documentation and information requests for internal and external audits.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure accurate accounting treatment and timely resolution of financial issues.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2–5 years of accounting experience, with manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Exposure to manufacturing-related accounting areas such as inventory, fixed assets, accruals, or variance analysis is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with an ERP system such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP; NetSuite experience is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate accounting discrepancies independently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural and cross-functional environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite.
- CPA candidate or interest in pursuing CPA certification is a plus.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
