Experienced Memorial Sandblaster – Full-Time
Green Valley Memorials Inc. is seeking an experienced Memorial Sandblaster to join our production team full-time.
We are looking for a skilled monument professional who understands the complete sandblasting process and takes pride in producing clean, accurate, high-quality memorial work.
This is an opportunity for an experienced sandblaster to become an important part of a growing monument company where craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail matter.
Responsibilities
Depending on experience, responsibilities may include:
- Sandblasting granite memorials and monuments
- Cutting, preparing, and applying sandblast stencil
- Setting up lettering, panels, designs, and carvings for blasting
- Shape-carving designs, flowers, and other memorial elements
- Steeling granite surfaces
- Operating a sand handler
- Operating a J-model sandblaster
- Blasting lettering and designs to proper depth
- Reading and following monument drawings and production specifications
- Checking lettering, dates, designs, measurements, and layouts before blasting
- Performing quality inspections throughout the production process
- Maintaining sandblasting equipment and keeping the work area organized
- Safely handling granite memorials throughout the production process
- Assisting with other monument production work as needed
Qualifications
We are specifically looking for candidates with previous monument or memorial sandblasting experience.
A strong candidate will have experience with several or all of the following:
- Monument sandblasting
- Shape carving
- Granite steeling
- Stencil cutting and preparation
- Sand handler operation
- J-model sandblaster operation
- Lettering and carving depth
- Granite finishes and surface preparation
- Monument drawings and layouts
- Quality-control inspection
You should also be:
- Dependable and consistent
- Self-motivated
- Able to work independently
- Detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in a production/shop environment
- Able to identify and correct quality issues before a memorial leaves production
- Safety-conscious when working around granite and sandblasting equipment
- Someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship
This position is intended for an experienced memorial/monument sandblaster and is not an entry-level sandblasting position.
Schedule
Full-Time
Consistent year-round work with a well-established Vermont monument company.
Compensation
Competitive compensation is based on experience and ability.
Applicants with extensive experience in sandblasting, shape carving, stencil work, steeling, and monument production will be compensated accordingly.
