Client Account Manager II
We are seeking an experienced Client Account Manager II to join our growing team. This position is designed for a professional ready to take on a higher level of account ownership, client interaction, data analysis, vendor management, and operational responsibility, with continued opportunity for advancement.
The Client Account Manager II will serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients and help oversee their waste and recycling programs, including customer service, vendor management, contract administration, competitive bidding, invoice disputes, data analysis, reporting, and program optimization.
This position offers strong growth potential for a high-performing individual, including opportunities to advance into a Senior or Lead Client Account Management role as responsibilities expand.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client questions, service needs, projects, and escalations.
- Participate in client conference calls, annual site visits, and operational meetings.
- Resolve service issues, billing discrepancies, pricing disputes, and vendor performance concerns.
- Manage vendor relationships and help ensure compliance with service agreements and contractual requirements.
- Negotiate vendor pricing and service requirements as needed.
- Prepare and manage RFPs, and competitive bid opportunities for client services.
- Review vendor proposals and assist with recommendations based on pricing, service capabilities, and client needs.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, sustainability improvements, waste diversion, and operational efficiencies.
- Analyze client and vendor data using Microsoft Excel.
- Create and maintain Excel formulas, charts, tables, linked worksheets/workbooks, and client-ready reporting.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly client reports, including trends, metrics, and program performance.
- Assist with Quarterly Business Reviews and client-facing presentations.
- Track projects, open issues, vendor deliverables, and deadlines through completion.
- Maintain accurate account, pricing, contract, and service documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent client support and follow-through.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in account management, customer service, operations, vendor management, or a related role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to professionally handle escalations.
- Comfortable participating in client conference calls and presenting account updates.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, working across multiple spreadsheets/workbooks, data analysis, and creating charts and reports.
- Ability to review and understand pricing, invoices, service data, and basic contract requirements.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while also collaborating with a team.
- Technologically proficient and comfortable learning new software and systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RFPs, competitive bidding, vendor sourcing, or contract negotiation.
- Experience managing multi-location client accounts.
- Experience preparing client-facing reports, dashboards, or Quarterly Business Reviews utilizing Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
- Previous experience in waste, recycling, environmental services, healthcare, facilities management, procurement, logistics, or a related industry.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
