Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute is a physician-owned, orthopedic hospital, serving the Kansas City area for over 25 years. KCOI has 17 Inpatient beds, along with 8 state-of-the-art operating rooms. KCOI is conveniently located near I-435 & State Line Road in Leawood, KS.
We’re seeking two full-time EVS Techs for our Surgery and Inpatient areas. Healthcare experience is a plus, but willing to train a motivated individual with an eye for detail and a commitment to service excellence. Teamwork, effective communication skills, and great attendance are essential.
Surgery Day Porter Job Function: Weekend availability is a must, and days off will vary. Rotating holidays. Schedule is 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
The Surgery Day Porter performs cleaning and disinfection of operating rooms between surgical cases, including waste and soiled linen removal. Cleaning and disinfection of other areas in the department of surgery include locker rooms, breakrooms, etc., as well as restocking of personal protective equipment, surgical scrub, and ordering these supplies. May also work on the Inpatient Unit or elsewhere in the building to support the role of the environmental services department.

The Inpatient EVS Tech performs daily cleaning of the nursing unit and 17 private patient rooms, including discharged room cleaning. Cleaning in other hospital departments may be assigned when needed, including cleaning operating rooms between surgical cases, and common areas.

Requirements:
- Experience: 1-5 years of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education & experience.
