Paralegal – Real Estate Litigation & Landlord-Tenant Law

Beckman Feller & Chang, P.C. is seeking an experienced and highly organized Paralegal ( Paralegal Certification!!!) to join our growing litigation team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys handling a busy real estate litigation practice, including landlord-tenant matters, insurance defense cases, and commercial and residential real estate disputes.
We are looking for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong attention to detail, and can effectively manage multiple cases while maintaining excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation from case intake through trial
- Prepare, file, and serve legal documents in state and federal courts
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and case summaries
- Manage case calendars, deadlines, hearings, and trial schedules
- Coordinate and organize discovery, exhibits, and trial materials
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors
- Assist with depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files
- Conduct legal and factual research as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in real estate litigation, landlord-tenant law, or unlawful detainer matters strongly preferred
- Knowledge of California court rules, filing procedures, and litigation deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
